Hidden Cities: The Wilderness Journey

The Southwest desert, with its breathtaking views, has become a place of solace for me. Strangely beautiful, this ancient and weathered land continues to endure the transitions of time. For years, I have made personal pilgrimages to the landscape I cherish above all others. I venture into the cool depths of towering rocks as the wind whispers along open corridors. I emerge into brilliant seas of impossible land formations standing guard over hidden canyons. The compelling energy of the rocks in their stillness resonates deeply with me. The images in this series are rendered as dreamlike abstractions reduced to value, light, texture and form, where the life of the rock is revealed. I hope to convey a sense of the poetry encountered in the sublime beauty of this place.
